About Me

Hi,Books prof

I’m so glad you found my site. Let me introduce myself.

I’m Cindy. I live along the Wasatch Mountains of Northern Utah with my husband of 18 years and two bright and spirited daughters. I’m an avid reader, aspiring author, coffee enthusiast, nature-lover, hopeful photographer, and a writer of all things.

I’ve been reading, writing and editing since before I can remember.  As an adult, in just about every job I’ve had, writing in some has seemed to have fallen into my path– everything from employee training manuals to poetry to newspaper articles.

I have been writing professionally as a freelancer for the past nine years.  As a newspaper correspondent, I learned interviewing, reporting and photography skills. I helped describe, keyword and categorize online video clips of all genres, sizes and varieties as a media keyworder, and I spent a year working for a web hosting company, writing web content, creating marketing materials and customer case studies.

I also have experience writing press releases- both independently and through major PR distribution firms. Some of my press releases have been picked up by major publications, such as San Francisco Chronicle, Yahoo News, and CBS News.

Currently I write for a popular blog about my community, Indie Ogden.  Through community involvement, special events and social media, Indie Ogden helps promote local businesses and restaurants in my city. I mostly write spotlights and reviews, but I like to throw the occasional recipe or send my photography experiments in too.

I am also a member of a community writing group, the Writers Guild of Weber County and an administrator on our group blog. As a group, we help other writers by offering assistance with brainstorming, outlining, writing prompts and editing. You can learn more about us and read some of my writing at our group blog,

I am currently available to perform freelance, contract writing work of any nature. I’d love to talk with you and see if I might be a good fit for your writing needs. You can contact me via email at
